Multi-IQ multi-frequency technology
The first metal detector with Multi-IQ multi-frequency technology, in which the detector works simultaneously on all frequencies. The Equinox 800 has 5 kHz, 10 kHz search frequencies, 15 kHz search frequencies, 20 KHz and 40 kHz search frequencies. You can choose to search on a single frequency or multiple IQs. The Equinox 800 searches all frequencies simultaneously. The advantage of the lower 5 kHz frequency is that the detector has a wider depth range, and the advantage of the 40 kHz search frequency is that the detector is more sensitive to small particles and gold (nuggets). What does multiple IQ mean?

Multi-IQ means that the detector searches several frequencies simultaneously. Where other detectors only have a single search frequency (eg 14 kHz), Equinox offers multi-frequency technology and searches all frequencies from 5 to 40 kHz simultaneously! The advantage is that the lower search frequency provides much greater depth performance than high frequency detectors; this, now combined with the advantages of higher frequencies, allows the detectors to detect gold and small parts much better than low frequency detectors.

An example:

If you have a detector with a 5 kHz search frequency you will probably be able to find larger objects very deep, but you will often miss smaller pieces of gold. If you have a detector with a 40 kHz search frequency, you will be able to find the smallest gold chain, gold bars and earrings very well, but with less depth power; and therefore misses larger, underlying objects again. As the Equinox 800 searches for all these frequencies simultaneously, you will no longer miss any objects and you will always have optimum depth performance!

Built-in Li-ion battery
The Equinox 800 has a built-in Li-Ion battery that can be charged via a magnetic USB port. Battery life approx. 10 - 12 hours until charging is required. You can also charge the Equinox via USB via a power bank while on a call, so you can call and charge at the same time!

object identification
Equinox has an object identification with guide values ​​that can be easily read on the screen during the search. Conductivity values ​​range from -9 to 0 for ferrous objects and from 0 to 40 for detection of more valuable objects, whereby silver objects have higher conductivity values ​​and gold objects, for example, a medium-high conductivity value. Of course, you can also hide iron objects from -9 to 0 with the discrimination function.

Display illumination
The Equinox series features backlighting, perfect for searching in twilight or dark areas.

Pinpoint function
There is also a pinpoint function to save the exact location. With the help of the pinpoint function, you can dig up objects quickly and easily. It is also possible to update the Equinox software via USB.
